A fashion store that sources the finest denims, goes in search of new and exclusive labels and buys beyond the norm come few and far between. Amsterdam based denim store Tenue de Nîmes goes beyond the call of most stores in this city and are known by denim lovers and designers as the one stop shop for quality goods and exclusive merchandise.
This Spring, the guys from TdN launch the first in a series of hand-crafted ‘private collections’. Each private collection garment will be produced in limited, exclusive quantities, paying strict attention to detail using the best fabrics and materials available. Tenue de Nîmes will devote each collection to re-working traditional garments (like the men´s shirt) to unite quality and craftsmanship in a contemporary design.
Each garment will contain a discreet TdN logo and feature details unique to traditional designs. The first series, a collection of men´s shirts were made by a Polish family that have been in the rag-trade for almost 40 years. Working from raw fabric to final product, the company have produced shirts featuring special Fil à Fil qualities in light blue tones next to the basic navy, black and white shirts.
