It is a long way before European summer hits us again, but one to watch for next year is Michaela Buerger’s new range of knitted swimwear. Hand crafted in Austria, Buerger has produced a collection of swimsuits, featuring knitted bikinis, scarves and Pareos.
Cut-out one-pieces and multi strapped two-pieces feature crochet paneling and criss-cross inserts in colourful cotton mixes. Colours are intense and suited for those who appreciate standing out on a long stretch of sandy beach. Think electric blue, neon yellow, orange, black, violet and greens. Knitted and crochet pieces are lined in black Lycra and 100% mercerized cotton.
All scarves come in 100% silk and feature silk crochet bordering, finished in fine, long and very chic fringing. While her current hand knitted scarves, mittens and head pieces are carried away by fashionistas this winter, a series of bikini clad Mica B pieces will be revealed in time for next year.
