Contemporary art, indie bands and a DJ behind the design tables- wouldn’t you be curious about the mixing skills of this eclectic fashion label? Anyone following blogger Chiara Ferragni a.k.a. The Blonde Salad may have already taken note of this Italian label MSGM that was established in 2008. Also Another Magazine scooped up a little MGSM for their latest 2012 edition that covers a far from fuzzy name for such a Milanese brand, created by Massimo Giorgetti (also a DJ) in collaboration with the Paolini Group.
Their Pre-Fall 2012 womenswear collection is particularly striking and incorporating a little frill, funky print and on-trend peplum. Wearability remains with a chic and polished finishes for a any girl. The colleciton consists of a wide range of looks with a little bow and eyecat glasses to top it all off.
A designer influence from Fendi (burgundy, fur stoles) to Marni (eclectic prints) and even Céline (side stripe pants) is there, yet it’s especially this mix and match approach with a sense of detachment that explores Giorgetti’s design style.
