Shadows and lights were the theme of the Martin Margiela Men´s Collection for Spring/Summer 1013. Different shades of white combined with silver, grey and beige in materials such as gabardine, cottons, corduroy and silk made an elegant collection. Modified and reconverted fabrics gave the classic evening wear a twist which is reinterpreted in soft and comfortable materials.
The espadrilles complete the look and give it something easy. Modeled on african men only (great casting!) the clothes became a very authentic effect of being african without your typical ethno prints – like in one of the famous portraits of Malik Sidibé. Dressed up with an easy attitude was what came across – and that´s exactyl what we are looking for next summer!
