This column receives its premiere and, yes, it might remain a pilot project. But the shower of Style 100’s double month Julyaugust, installed in the bathroom of Devi Garh Palace’s Aravali suite deserves its own section. Because it makes the fact, that about 80% of the waking time that’s spent in a hotel room is spent in the bathroom, seem absolutely plausible. Because it doesn’t give Norman Bates the slightest chance to ambush his victims behind shadow-catching shower curtains. But most of all it deserves the title because of its knock-off-your-socks view: You can enjoy the sight of the lush green Aravali valley at the foot of the 18th century fort palace (and your own) while luscious drops of water gently patter from the rain nozzle above. Showering on top of the world.
